Join Full Circle Souljahs for a special open rehearsal as we continue to develop “Algo-rhythm” (previously: Wus Poppin), a celebration of the intergenerational exchange within New York City’s Poppin community. Legendary Boogiers/Poppers Kwikstep and Rokafella are leading a collective of dancers from various generations to explore the balance between freestyle and choreography. This work touches on themes such as isolation and the everyday life of a street dancer, offering a glimpse into the soul of hip-hop culture.

After the rehearsal, stay for a Q&A where the Kwikstep and Rokafella will discuss the integration of freestyle and choreography, how this style of dance differs from other hip-hop forms, and the importance of passing knowledge between generations.
